Happy Father's Day 2026!

It's been a few years since my last entry and it's quite interesting that it's directly connected to my last blog about my Dad, his naval reactor training at INL in 1961, meeting and marrying my mother in Pocatello, Idaho in August.

I was inspired to look up the USS Thresher muster records from the era and found them on ancestry.com.  A little bit of searching and I found my Dad reporting for duty on the USS Thresher on March 23, 1962 and his transfer to the USS Fulton on September 23, 1962.  He spent 6 months on the USS Thresher and he was advanced from EM2 to EM1 during that time.  This was a little over 6 months before the USS Thresher sank with all hands during sea trials.

Dad always remembered those he knew and worked with during his time on the USS Thresher.
